Committees

Dublin Presbyterian Church is filled with active members.
Active members make a church strong and successful.
Our standing committees always need help and welcome fresh new ideas.

 

Christian Education:
To oversee and facilitate the Christian Education program of the church. This includes Sunday School for all ages, Youth, Confirmation class, Youth choir, Vacation Bible School, Sunday nursery, special events and programming for children and/or youth during special events, if needed.

Fellowship:
To provide activities (both at the church and off the church grounds) to foster a sense of community and belonging among members. As a congregation we enjoy the company of each other (usually with food) and through time come to count on the support of each other as we go through life. This community does not just happen, it grows as we worship together as we gather in informal settings and become friends.

Membership:
To facilitate growth and participation in the Church. To monitor church programs and activities with the objective of encouraging growth in church attendance and membership. To encourage maximum exposure of the Dublin Presbyterian Church to local media.

Finance:
To manage the budgeting process.

Mission:
To oversee the outreach of this Dublin Presbyterian into the community.

Personnel:
To coordinate personnel policy for the church.

Property:
To provide for the care and maintenance of the church building and property. This committee is also in charge of any new additions, construction projects, etc.

Stewardship:
To oversee the challenge of the congregation committing itself and money.

Worship and Music:
To provide for the congregation's liturgical life, encouraging use of music to express our faith. Oversees our regular weekly worship and worship for special occasions during the Christian calendar.
